Mr. Keenan began his career in the finance and leasing business with Barclays Bank, in 1989. In 1992, he joined John Deere Credit after the acquisition of Barclays finance business, through a subsidiary company Canadian Equipment Finance Corporation. In 1997, Mr. Keenan was one of three original founders of ABN AMRO Leasing, a division of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. In 1999 he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head of the leasing unit in Canada. During his 12 year tenure at ABN AMRO Leasing, the leasing business financed/leased over $2.6 billion in equipment assets.
In 2009, Brent founded Canadian Equipment Finance & Leasing Inc., along with two other partners. As well as being a member of the Canadian Finance & Lease Association, he also holds a degree in Business and Administration from the University of P.E.I.
